Outfitter trust renewed!!! I’ve been on multiple hunts through “so called” hunting outfitters! I’ve been to Canada, Idaho, Colorado and Texas multiple times. 99% of the time I never even got the opportunity to pull the trigger and fill my tags. For the first time ever, I was blessed to book a hunt with Tomahawk ranch. I’m used to tents, a lot and I mean A LOT of walking, terrible food, terrible accommodations and no game. Don’t get me wrong, I will do whatever to connect, but when I walk 15-20 miles up verticals slopes for a week and don’t see a tail, I have issues. For the first time ever, I stayed at a true 5 star resort as far as I’m concerned. The food was amazing, the guides were incredible and the owner, Dave and his wife Syrena, were excited when any of their customers filled their tags. I won’t go anywhere else other than Tomahawk Ranch. By far the best money spent and incredible camaraderie. I felt like I was the richest man in the world the way they treated myself and my wife. I booked two hunts for the following years for my wife and I. She didn’t buy a hunt for 2019, but she’s hooked for 2020.

“Don’t let the name fool you…. there is nothing rugged about this place, it is a slice of heaven nestled in a tiny town an hour and 15 minutes north of Dallas /Ft Worth, Texas. We booked my hunt at the SCI show in Dallas early in 2020, after seeing the pictures of previous hunts and the mounts displayed in the booth at the show. We were convinced that this was the hunt which would offer me the chance to bag the “Quintessential Wide Rack, Big Body Texas buck” I wanted. David & Syrena Hopkins, the owners, promise the hunt of a lifetime and a memorable stay. They severely undersold Tomahawk Ranch.

The campus around the lodge is beautiful and well maintained, the driveway into the property sets the stage for your stay. The lodge is a log cabin style home connected by covered walkway to another large dining hall, TV room with a huge bar. It sits just back from a beautiful well stocked fishing lake visible from the huge wrap around porches. There are 2 quaint guest cabins for additional hunting groups. The meals from breakfast through dinner were phenomenal every day! The hospitality was above and beyond any hunt I’ve every been on, and in the 35+ years I’ve been hunting, I been on a lot. My wife accompanied me, although she doesn’t hunt, and thoroughly enjoyed herself. The owners, guides and other hunting guests all enjoyed hunting, food and fellowship during the 3 days. The management program at this high fence ranch is exceptional. I was able to bag “THE Buck” I wanted and saw dozens of Trophy Bucks everyday while I waited for mine. The guides are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Some of the hunters there during our stay were returning hunters, which tells you everything. If serious hunters return year after year to a ranch, it’s something special. We have already made Syrena & David aware we will be coming back next year. Without gushing I cannot say much more, but I highly recommend Tomahawk Ranch for the hunt of a lifetime.”
